Questions about USPC's classified advertisements?
We have gathered many commonly asked questions and answered them here.

How do I place an ad?
To place an ad, please visit the USPC website at www.ponyclub.org, publications, classifieds, do you want to advertise here? That will take you to a secure site to enter your text, picture and payment information.
How much do ads cost?
Ads are $35 for 50 words. There is a counter provided when you submit your text; if your ad exceeds 50 words, our horse savvy proofreaders will reduce your ad to fit.
Can I include a picture?
Absolutely! All photos must adhere to USPC safety standards. Photos are an
additional $10 and will appear on the USPC website.
Due to space constraints, they will no longer appear in the USPC News magazine.
However, if you do include a picture the magazine will include a
"please see picture on USPC website" tagline.
How do I know if my photo adheres to USPC safety guidelines?
You can view the USPC safety information packet on the forms page of this website,
but basically any mounted rider must be wearing proper footwear and an approved safety helmet.

Occasionally some creative cropping of photos can be offered.
I had trouble uploading my picture or I sent the wrong picture!
Don't worry, just email the correct picture as a jpeg file to
shelley@ponyclub.org along with the contact
name for your ad and we'll get it posted.
I can't work a scanner!
Just snail mail your picture to Shelley Mann at USPC, 4041 Iron Works Parkway, Lexington, KY 40511 and I can scan it for you and post it to your ad. If you would like the picture returned to you please include a self addressed stamped envelop!
Is there an extra charge for my ad to appear in USPC News?
No, ads appear on the website and in the magazine for one price.
How long will my ad be listed on the website?
Your ad will be listed on the website for 3 months and will appear in the next issue of USPC News.
How do I pay for an ad?
After entering your text and contact information you will be sent to a secure site to enter your MasterCard or Visa number.
Does USPC accept American Express or Discover cards?
No, MasterCard or Visa only.
Is ordering online safe?
Yes, when you use our secure online form, all the information on the form (including your credit card number) is encrypted and cannot be intercepted during transit.
I just entered a classified ad online; when will it appear on the website?
Your ad is placed online during USPC office hours. Usually the next business day you can expect to see your ad, however during busy USPC days (i.e. Annual Meeting, Festival, or Championships) it may take a couple of days. You are not charged for your ad until it is placed on the website.
Can I place an ad by telephone?
No. We can only accept ads in writing, either by mail with a personal check or through our secure online form.
What if there is a mistake in my classified ad or I need to make a change?
Please email shelley@ponyclub.org with any changes to your ad. Please include the name (first and last) of the contact person in your ad.
I just got a strange email from a prospective buyer, what should I do?
Do not provide any further personal identification information! Unfortunately the contact information that you provide (contact info only, your credit card info is safe!) to prospective buyers is also available to third parties with less honest intentions. USPC cannot prevent this type of activity. However, if an offer seems strange or too good to be true (no one wants to pay you more for your horse or pony than what you have it listed for) then it probably is.
Please contact the Internet Fraud Complaint Center to alert federal authorities of this type of activity.
