The Top 5 Reasons to Attend the Pony Club Annual Meeting
Lexington, KY, January 10, 2012—Number 5… It is in New Orleans! The
Sheraton New Orleans overlooks the mighty Mississippi River, and is at
the heart of it all. For all the sights, sounds and flavors of New
Orleans, just step outside, cross historic Canal Street, and you're in
the French Quarter.
Number 4… The shopping! Pony Club has gathered an assortment of fantastic shops and organizations for the trade fair open all day January 26-29, 2012. Silent
and live auctions will tempt your competitive shopping side, while the
Pony Club Bookstore taps your reading interests and even offers great
gift ideas for the unlucky people you left at home.
Number 3… The night life! Pony Club has packed family fun into each and every evening! You can take a River Boat Cruise, dine on a balcony overlooking the French Quarter and even attend a masked Mardi Gras Ball. All ages have planned activities that will make memories to last a lifetime!
Number 2… Learning opportunities! This
year’s meeting will introduce the new Equine Education Symposium along
with an extended schedule to involve as many equine enthusiasts as
possible. Each day will offer 30-plus workshops and seminars in addition to the Pony Club paddock, the anatomy room, and a research fair. les bon temps rouler! Let the good times roll, is the theme for the
United States Pony Clubs 2012 Annual Meeting and Equine Educational
Symposium. Pony Club is both excited and proud to offer new opportunities for attendees visiting the Deep South Region. Over
600 members, leaders, guests, and alumni will let the good times roll
in New Orleans as they experience all the organization has to offer. The
United States Pony Clubs, Inc. (USPC) was founded in 1954 as a
nonprofit national youth organization to teach riding and horsemanship
through a formal educational program. Many of the nation’s top
equestrians, including many of our Olympic team members and many
business professionals, government leaders and career military officers,
have roots in Pony Club. Youth members range in age from as young as 4
through age 25, and include adult members of the Horsemasters Program.
There are approximately 10,000 members in 600 clubs and riding centers
