Equine Symposium

The Equine Symposium is open to all who purchased Equine Symposium Day Passes and is included in Convention Registrations. The United States Pony Club Equine Symposium offers a wide variety of workshop speakers and topics. Day Passes are available for Friday (1 pm - 5 pm), Saturday (10 am - 5:30 pm) and Sunday (8 am - 12 pm), if not already registered for the Convention.

Anatomy Room

  What better way to learn anatomy of your favorite animal than by seeing actual body parts? Come and join Dr. Brad Gordon and Cindy Healy in the Anatomy Room for some real hands on experience. Whether you choose to actually handle the specimens or are content just to watch, this workshop is a terrific way to help prepare for certifications. The Anatomy Room will be open all day Friday, all day Saturday, and Sunday morning.

 

Meeting of the Corporation

Held at 7:30 am on Saturday with a continental breakfast available at 7 am, the USPC Meeting of the Corporation is when the business of the organization will be conducted, including the election of the new Board of Governors, updates on the status of the organization, and the presentation of awards, such as the Flash Teamwork Award and the Brookfield Land Conservation. The Meeting of the Corporation is included in the Convention Registration.

Leader Opportunities (limited to RSs, VRSs, DCs, Jt.DCs, CAs, and ACAs)

Leadership Training

Each year, from approximately 9 am – 5 pm on Thursday and Friday of the USPC Convention, special leadership training sessions are held for club, center and regional leaders. General sessions, breakout topics and roundtable discussions are tailored to DCs, JtDCs, CAs, ACAs, RSs and VRSs, and are limited to these officers unless prior arrangements have been made. The focus of all leadership training sessions will be on specific job skills, leadership support and organization news. Topics will address member and programming needs, as well as, opportunities for personal and professional development. Time for Q & A and networking among peers is also included

Thursday Night Leadership Appreciation

Club, Center and region leaders are invited to enjoy an evening together for food, fun and laughter. Forget the hustle and bustle of the day and enjoy a special evening to unwind from your busy day.

Have you ever wondered why horses behave a certain way? Are you curious about how different approaches to horse care might affect your horse’s health or performance? Do you have questions about how or why certain horse management practices are preferred over others? Are you interested in developing a strategy to learn more about your horse? If you answered “YES!” to any of these questions, then the Pony Club Research Project Fair is for YOU!!

National Youth Congress

Delegates who have been nominated by their regions will be meeting with the Academy of Achievement inductees for several days of leadership development.  Learn more!

National Youth Board

The Convention allow the delegates the opportunity to meet in person to discuss Pony Club, their goals for the NYB for the upcoming year, and help the community with their annual service project. The NYB delegates represent the youth members of Pony Club and want to hear from other youth members. Come and chat in person with NYB members at the USPC Youth Summit during the Equine Symposium. Pony Paddock (12 and under)

For children under 12; a safe place for them to play and learn while their parent(s) and siblings attend other Convention functions.  Special guests and activities make this a great option!

NOTE: Children must be signed in and out of the program by an adult.  Meals are not included, please plan on picking up your child for lunch.

Saturday Night Banquet

Join the Pony Club community on Saturday night and socialize, relax, and enjoy the last evening of the Equine Symposium and Convention. Events of the evening include: recognizing recipients of the Founders Award, listening to keynote speaker, watching the passing of the whip, enjoying dinner, and dancing the night away. Meal options and prices will be available in the fall when registration opens.
