Pony Club is a volunteer based organization, from parents and local leaders, to regional officers, to the Board of Governors, volunteers make Pony Club happen. The USPC Board makes decisions based on the work and recommendations of established Committees. It is our Committees that make the many National opportunities happen for our members, such as Championships in all disciplines, Visiting Instructors, International Exchanges, National Youth Congress, and much more.

Committee Descriptions

The Board of Governors and its Committees are defined in the USPC By-Laws (National By-Laws, Article 6) and through established policies found in the National Organization section (1000 - 2000).

The duties of the Activities Council and each of its Committees may be found in the Policies in the Activities section (6000).

The duties of the Instruction Council and each of its Committees may be found in the Policies in the Instruction section (5000).

The duties of the Regional Administration Council and each of its Committees may be found in the Policies in the Regional Administration section (8000).

Requirements

Committee Member Agreement

This agreement is to be signed before taking a position on the Board or any USPC Committee and to be updated periodically and if circumstances change. The agreement includes declaration of any conflicts of interests.

Corporate Membership to USPC is required for all Board and Committee Members.

Training

Background Checks

To be completed and renewed every 3 years for Board of Governors Members, Activities, Instruction and Regional Administration Committee Chairs, and Advisory, National Youth Congress and Visiting Instruction Committee Members.

Volunteer Training

Volunteers at all levels are encouraged to go these training.  Specifically, Board of Governors, Advisory, Activities Instruction and Regional Administration Committee Chairs, National Youth Congress and Visiting Instruction Committee Members are required to complete these training modules.
